Recommended Hardware for Graphic Design

CPU (Processor)

• Most design apps are not super heavy on multi-core, so a fast, modern CPU with strong single-core performance is ideal.
• This keeps Photoshop brushes snappy, Illustrator zooming smooth, and background exports fast.
• We can spec Intel, AMD, or Apple Silicon depending on your preference and software stack.

Memory (RAM)

• 16GB is the minimum for today’s Creative Cloud workflows.
• 32GB is the sweet spot for designers who have Photoshop, Illustrator, Chrome, and cloud storage running at the same time.
• Go higher if you also do light video, motion design, or big photo retouching.

Storage

• Always start with a fast NVMe SSD — design apps read/write lots of small files, fonts, previews, and temp data.
• 1TB is a great baseline so you don’t run out when clients send giant asset folders.
• We can add a second SSD for “Active Client Work” plus local backup or connect to NAS/cloud.

Graphics (GPU) & Displays

• Most 2D design tools don’t need a high-end GPU, but a modern GPU helps with smooth UI and multi-monitor setups.
• If you’re doing 3D mockups, light motion, or using GPU-accelerated features, we’ll size the GPU appropriately.
• We can also set up dual 4K displays or a single color-accurate panel for print and brand work.
